Overview: This machine clamps the test board onto a skateboard, which slowly moves the test board while a needle scratches the surface of the paint film. During testing, a fixed force can be applied to the needle to move the test panel back and forth, or the force can be gradually increased to measure the minimum force required to pierce the paint film.
Coating hardness is an important physical property of a coating film, and its size directly affects some important usage properties of the coating film, such as wear resistance, abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, impact resistance, as well as coating retention and ease of cleaning. Therefore, coating hardness is a necessary indicator for evaluating the performance of coatings. This instrument can conveniently measure the hardness of coating films.
