Measurement principle
First, an oxidant is added to oxidize trivalent chromium in the water sample to hexavalent chromium. Then, a color developer is added to react with hexavalent chromium to form a purple red complex. The absorbance is measured by spectrophotometry, and the total chromium content (mg/L) is directly displayed after processing and calculation by a microcomputer system.
