A waste heat boiler is a boiler that utilizes the sensible heat generated from various industrial processes such as exhaust gas, waste materials, or waste liquids, as well as the heat generated from the combustion of combustible materials. Or in oil (gas) combined cycle units, utilizing the high-temperature flue gas heat discharged from gas turbine boilers.
According to different fuels, waste heat boilers can be divided into oil fired waste heat boilers, gas-fired waste heat boilers, coal-fired waste heat boilers, and external medium waste heat boilers. It can be divided into waste heat hot water boilers, waste heat steam boilers, waste heat organic heat carrier boilers, etc.
The working principle of a waste heat boiler is to burn fuel oil, coal gas, and coal, producing high-temperature flue gas and releasing heat. The high-temperature flue gas first enters the furnace, then enters the front smoke box waste heat boiler and smoke tube, and finally enters the rear smoke box flue waste heat boiler. High temperature flue gas is transformed into low-temperature flue gas and discharged into the atmosphere through chimneys. Due to the greatly improved utilization rate of fuel combustion heat release by waste heat boilers, this type of boiler is very energy-efficient.
