Product Introduction

Terahertz beam expander can be used to expand or reduce the diameter of parallel terahertz beams. The terahertz beam expander composed of a two lens Galileo telescope system can provide low aberration levels in imaging systems. These terahertz beam expanders are all diffraction limited systems, thereby reducing the impact of beam divergence. The beam expander can focus the terahertz beam to the diffraction limit spot size, thereby obtaining the maximum power density of a terahertz beam.

Terahertz beam expander can be used for both continuous terahertz light sources and pulsed terahertz light sources simultaneously. Due to the large aperture of the incident window and exit aperture, our terahertz beam expander can be used for incident light with different beam diameters.

We also provide services for coating anti reflective films on terahertz lens groups based on specific operating wavelengths and customer requirements.

Terahertz beam expanderApplication Cases

The above figure shows an application case of terahertz beam expander. Terahertz radiation comes from a ferrite ring resonator with a wavelength of 3mm (100GHz), and the receiver is a terahertz camera MICROXCAM-384I-THZ from INO company. The lens on the terahertz camera is produced by TYDEX(f/0.7 camera lens). The terahertz source emits a parallel terahertz spot with a diameter of 10mm (spot diameter of 1/e)2The camera in the lower left image records the spot size without a terahertz beam expander, while the lower right image records the result when a 2x expander is placed in the optical path. It can be clearly seen that the 2x terahertz beam expander increases the diameter of parallel terahertz beams by 2 times.
