Working principle:
This instrument uses ultraviolet fluorescence method. The basic working principle is that the zinc lamp emits ultraviolet light, which is filtered into monochromatic light (wavelength of 214nm) and focused onto the SO2 reaction chamber. The SO2 in the sample gas absorbs the ultraviolet light and undergoes energy level transitions, causing SO2 to change from the ground state to the excited state. The excited state SO2 is unstable and instantly emits fluorescence with a center wavelength of 330nm. The intensity of the fluorescence is proportional to the concentration of SO2. The photomultiplier tube converts the light signal into an electrical signal, thereby measuring the concentration of SO2. In order to eliminate measurement errors caused by fluctuations in the optical path, two monitoring channels are used in the optical path. One channel is used as the sample gas optical path to measure the fluorescence intensity excited, and the other channel is used as the reference optical path to monitor changes in the zinc lamp light source, automatically compensating for changes in the light source.
