TC-50 BOD Rapid Analyzer | BOD Rapid Analyzer

1、 Instrument Introduction:
Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) is one of the important indicators and detection parameters of water quality organic pollution commonly used internationally. Its traditional method, the five-day BOD5 dilution method, is still widely used for analysis and detection at home and abroad. However, this method requires a 5-day analysis cycle and is cumbersome to operate, which brings many inconveniences to sewage treatment and environmental detection. The vast number of environmental testing personnel urgently need a rapid and accurate measuring instrument to improve work efficiency and reduce labor intensity.
►The 50 type BOD rapid analyzer has faster detection speed, simpler operation, shortened microbial membrane cultivation time, and further improved product detection accuracy. The 50 type BOD rapid analyzer adopts the microbial electrode method, which can quickly determine the BOD value in water samples, and is easy to operate and accurate in measurement. The principle is based on the oxygen consumption metabolism of organic matter by microorganisms, and the determination of BOD only involves the initial oxidation rate, so the determination of a sample can be completed within 5-8 minutes. Greatly reducing the time required for measurement. This method complies with the "Rapid Determination Method of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Microbial Sensor for Water Quality" (HJ/T86-2002) and was listed as a Class A method in the "Water and Wastewater Detection and Analysis Methods" (Fourth Edition) published in 2002.

6、 Measurement principle:
The instrument adopts the microbial electrode method, which tightly adheres the microbial membrane to the surface of the oxygen permeable membrane of the polarographic dissolved oxygen electrode, thus forming the microbial electrode. The instrument adopts a flow measurement method, which means that the sample flows through the microbial electrode. The microbial membrane contains a large number of aerobic microorganisms, which are very active in aerobic and organic environments. The output current of the oxygen electrode is proportional to the concentration of dissolved oxygen. When a liquid without organic matter passes through the flow cell, the dissolved oxygen passing through the microbial membrane hardly decreases. When a solution containing organic matter passes through a circulation pool, microorganisms consume a large amount of dissolved oxygen, which is proportional to the concentration of organic matter, resulting in a corresponding decrease in dissolved oxygen passing through the microbial membrane. The dissolved oxygen electrode measures the change in dissolved oxygen concentration to calculate the BOD value.
