Product Introduction
Flat welding flange is generally referred to as flat plate, also known as lap welding flange. The connection between the flat welding flange and the pipeline is to first insert the pipe into the flange hole to the appropriate position, and then weld it together.
Flat welding flanges are suitable for pipeline systems with relatively low pressure levels, where pressure fluctuations, vibrations, and oscillations are not severe. The advantage of flat welding flanges is that they are easier to align during welding assembly and are relatively inexpensive, thus they have been widely used.

Principle and characteristics of flat welding flange
The issue of flat welding flanges has always been a topic of concern for people, as it relates to the production costs or economic benefits of companies and enterprises. Therefore, the sealing principle of flat welding flanges is constantly being improved and perfected.
However, the main design disadvantage of flat welding flanges is that they cannot guarantee no leakage. This is its design flaw: the connection is dynamic, and cyclic loads such as thermal expansion and fluctuations can cause movement between flange faces, affecting the function of the flange and ultimately damaging its integrity, leading to leakage. No product can be without defects, it's just about minimizing the shortcomings of the product as much as possible. Therefore, the company strives to improve the performance of the product as much as possible when producing flat welding flanges, so that they can play a greater role.
The characteristics of flat welding flanges: Flat welding flanges not only save space and reduce weight, but more importantly, ensure that the joint does not leak and have good sealing performance. The reason for the reduction in compact flange size is due to the decrease in the diameter of the seal, which will reduce the cross-section of the sealing surface. Secondly, the flange gasket has been replaced by a sealing ring to ensure that the sealing surface matches the sealing surface. In this way, only a small amount of pressure is required to tighten the sealing surface. As the required pressure decreases, the size and quantity of bolts can be correspondingly reduced, so a new product with small volume and light weight (70% to 80% lighter than traditional flanges) was ultimately designed. Therefore, the flat welding flange type is a relatively excellent flange product that reduces weight and space, playing an important role in industrial applications.
