According to the principle of torque balance, the load torque and spring torque remain balanced within the specified range of load displacement. Therefore, when pipelines and equipment supported by constant suspension experience displacement, a constant support force can be obtained without causing additional stress to the pipelines and equipment. Spring supports and hangers are generally used in places where displacement stress needs to be reduced, such as power plant boiler bodies, suspended parts of steam, water, smoke ducts and burners in power plants, as well as petrochemical equipment and other places where displacement stress needs to be reduced.
Structural form and model representation method of spring support hanger:
The variable spring support hanger is mainly composed of cylindrical spiral springs, displacement indicator plates, shells, and elastic nuts.
Variable spring supports and hangers are divided into seven types based on installation methods: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.
Type A - Upper thread suspension type;
B-type - single ear suspension type;
Type C - Double ear suspension type;
D-type - upward adjustment idle type;
E-type - downward adjustment idle type;
F-type - supporting and resting type;
G-type - parallel suspension type.
Precautions for using spring support hangers:
1. According to the installation load provided by the user, the manufacturer uses upper and lower positioning blocks to fix the indicator plate of the spring support hanger in the corresponding position with the installation load, so that the spring support hanger is temporarily in a rigid state.
2. After cleaning and hydrostatic testing, the upper and lower positioning blocks must be removed before the pipeline can be put into use.
3. When the pipeline starts running, first check if the positioning block has been removed, and then check if there is any obstruction during the displacement process of the indicator plate from installation load to working load.
4. After the pipeline is put into normal operation, check whether the displacement of the spring support hanger under working load is consistent with the design. After the pipeline stops running, check if the indicator board has been reset to the position where the load is installed. Check the tightness of the spring hanger.
