Object oriented programming (OOP)
Currently, even minor changes in machine functionality require validation of the entire code. Object oriented programming (OOP) makes this process more efficient: machine control is composed of a combination of objects, whose modular design is mapped to software through OOP. Objects can be combined according to requirements and can be reapplied to new machines. Due to the inheritability of the code, software testing work is greatly reduced and engineering efficiency is improved.
OPC UA
The amount of data exchanged between machines and across the entire automation hierarchy is steadily increasing, and the inconsistency of interfaces makes this process complex and time-consuming. OPC UA changed everything: as an internationally established communication standard, it allows for consistent data exchange from the machine level to the cloud, independent of platforms and manufacturers.
The OPC UA server is integrated into SIMOTION software and can be integrated into any automation system.
SIMOSIM
SIMOSIM is a simulation tool integrated into engineering systems that can be used for software testing during program development without the need for additional hardware, and includes all axes and kinematic objects.
For machine manufacturers, this means software that is essentially error free and significantly reduces debugging time. Even if on-site adjustments are needed, simulation software can be used for testing first, which will greatly shorten downtime.

SIMOTION IT: Internet access technology
Based on the SIMOTION integrated web server function, machine status diagnosis, machine maintenance, and debugging can be achieved. This feature provides many options to access the process data of the machine, which only requires an Ethernet cable and a computer with a web browser installed.
