Technical features:

The rotary grate furnace consists of a feeding chamber, a rotary grate, a discharge chamber, a secondary combustion chamber, etc. The furnace is divided from top to bottom into a drying layer, a pyrolysis layer, an oxidation combustion layer, a hot slag layer, and a cold slag discharge layer. The garbage entering the rotary grate furnace is first dried by the flue gas rising from the pyrolysis layer in the drying layer, where the moisture evaporates; Decompose into combustible substances such as carbon monoxide and gaseous hydrocarbons in the pyrolysis layer and form mixed flue gas, which is then drawn into the secondary combustion chamber for combustion; The residue after gasification (liquid tar, relatively pure carbon, and inorganic ash and inert substances contained in the garbage itself) sinks into the combustion section and burns fully, and its heat is used to provide the energy required for the pyrolysis layer and drying layer. The residue generated in the combustion section continues to burn through the burnout layer and enters the cooling layer, where it is cooled by the primary air at the bottom of the furnace (while the residue is preheated by the primary air). After being mechanically squeezed and crushed by the grate, it is discharged from the furnace through the slag discharge system.


Advantages of rotating grate furnace:

(1) Beneficial for heat recovery and utilization, without direct contact with high-temperature mechanical equipment, thus having a long service life and low maintenance costs;

(2) Similar to fluidized beds, the amount of material flipping in the rotary furnace is large, and inorganic substances with low melting points in the garbage are not easily slagging. Even if slagging occurs, it will not affect the operation of the rotary furnace;

(3) Wide adaptability range for material particle size, and the shape of garbage can be incinerated without special treatment;

(4) Simple structure, low cost, easy operation, and low operating expenses.

(5) The incinerator has a small volume and occupies a small area in the factory building.


Disadvantages of rotary grate furnace:

(1) The requirement for high calorific value of garbage is high. Suitable for materials with a calorific value of 1600kcal/kg or higher, such as industrial waste, electronic dismantling materials, pharmaceutical factory residue, etc.

(2) The scale of garbage disposal is relatively small, with a processing range of 30-150t/d.
