This system uses VELP's RESIRPOMETRIC sensor, designed specifically for laboratory testing of soil respiration and aerobic degradation of compost. With wireless data transmission and intelligent analysis capabilities, it is more convenient to use.

measuring principle

The aerobic degradation process of soil respiration or composting consumes oxygen and generates carbon dioxide. The sample is placed in a closed container for reaction, and the generated CO2 is absorbed by the strong alkali at the neck of the container. As the reaction progresses, the pressure inside the container decreases, and the respiration sensor records the change in pressure from the beginning to the end of the reaction.
