1、 Purpose:

There are many testing items for water quality analysis that are determined by colorimetric analysis. There are two types of rapid water quality colorimeters: vertical and pocket sized. Vertical measurement is used to determine 5 items including residual chlorine, iron content, nitrite, free ammonia, and manganese content. Pocket sized for measuring the pH values of residual chlorine and hydrogen ions in two items.

2、 Characteristics:

The colorimeter (vertical, pocket sized) used in colorimetric analysis is a highly sensitive and convenient instrument for measurement. It has the advantages of simple construction, easy portability, fast analysis, and direct observation.

The determination principle of a rapid water quality colorimeter is to replace various chemical color samples with colored organic glass plates (colorimeters), compare blank water samples with reaction colored water samples, and concentrate the colors of standard colorimeters and reaction colored water samples in the observation window for colorimetric determination. The vertical colorimeter uses a 50ml colorimetric tube with a liquid layer height of 131mm, while the pocket colorimeter uses a 10ml colorimetric dish with a liquid layer height of 25mm.
