The ID card is a THRC12/13 read-only non-contact IC card, which is powered by a card reader and reads the unique card number stored in the chip EEPROM. The card number is written once before sealing and cannot be changed after sealing. Passive and contactless are the two most prominent features of this chip, and the RF interface circuit is the key core technology. It receives RF energy from the card reader, generates power and clock for the chip, and uses phase-shift keying and amplitude modulation techniques to achieve wireless communication between the card and the reader. Non contact ID cards have outstanding advantages such as easy operation, speed, and reliability, and have been widely used.
1、 Main features of ID card
The carrier frequency is 125KHZ (THRC12) or 13.56MHz (THRC13);
The modulation method for transmitting data from the card to the card reader is to load amplitude modulation;
The data encoding in the card adopts the strong anti-interference BPSK phase shift keying method;
The data transfer rate from the card to the card reader is 3.9kbps (THRC12) or 6.62kbps (THRC13);
★ EEPROM is used for data storage, with a data retention time of over 10 years;
★ The data storage capacity is a total of 64 bits, including manufacturer, publisher, and user code;
The card number cannot be changed after being written in before the card is sealed, ensuring the uniqueness and security of the card number;
In addition to being packaged in standard card shapes, THRC13 chips can also be packaged in various shapes such as chips according to application needs.
2、 Working principle of ID card
The system consists of a card, a card reader, and a backend controller. The working process is as follows:
(1) The card reader sends the carrier signal outward through the antenna;
(2) After the card enters the working area of the card reader, the resonant circuit composed of the inductive coil and capacitor in the card receives the carrier signal emitted by the card reader. The RF interface module of the chip in the card generates power voltage, reset signal, and system clock from this signal, which activates the chip;
(3) The chip reading control module modulates the data in the memory on the carrier after phase modulation coding, and sends it back to the card reader through the antenna in the card;
(4) The card reader demodulates and decodes the received card feedback signal and sends it to the backend computer;
(5) The backend computer processes and controls different applications based on the legality of the card number.
Nowadays, low-frequency cards (ID cards) are widely used. In addition to providing H4001 thick white cards, our company can also provide H4102 thin cards with printing. The advanced manufacturing process is the biggest advantage that sets our low-frequency cards apart from those produced by other factories, with a much lower failure rate compared to low-frequency cards produced by other card factories. The performance is also far superior to other low-frequency cards, with a long service life
Chip: Taiwan 4001 COB
Working frequency: 125KHZ
Sensing distance: 8-20cm
ID Thick Card: With a thickness of 1.8mm and standard card size, it is currently the most economical RF IC card with an ID number and a portable hole that can screen print logo text information;
Standard thin card: thickness 0.8mm, standard size, can be offset printed, screen printed, printed photos;
Non standard thin card: thickness 1.05mm, standard size can be used for offset printing, screen printing, and printing photos;
Typical applications: RFID fields such as patrol systems, attendance systems, access control systems, and enterprise one card systems
Application scope of ID card
Compared with contact IC cards, non-contact ID cards do not require card insertion and removal, avoiding various malfunctions caused by poor mechanical contact. Therefore, they have outstanding advantages such as easy operation, speed, reliability, and long service life, and are particularly suitable for situations with high pedestrian traffic. THRC12/13 contactless ID card can mainly be used for identity recognition and addressing control, such as access control, security, attendance, etc. It can also be extended to public places such as exhibitions, parks, hotels, restaurants, etc. for tickets, discount cards, etc. And many fields such as logistics, electronic tags, anti-counterfeiting marks, disposable tickets, etc. in the production process, postal parcels, air and railway transportation, product packaging, transportation and other departments. Although it is only a read-only card, it can be controlled and managed by the backend computer, and even issues related to fee management can be applied to a certain extent, such as cafeteria meal fee management. For specific applications, the personal data of the cardholder can be sent to the background computer, a database can be established, and application software can be configured. When using, the card number read will be sent to the background computer through the card reader, and the personal data of the cardholder can be retrieved from the database, and then operated according to the specific needs, so the application range is extremely broad.
