Corrugated cardboard is made by bonding surface paper, inner paper, core paper, and corrugated paper processed into corrugated waves. According to the requirements of product packaging, corrugated cardboard can be processed into single-sided corrugated cardboard, three-layer corrugated cardboard, five layer, seven layer, eleven layer and other corrugated cardboard.

The functions of corrugated cardboard formed by bonding different corrugated shapes also vary. Even if the same quality of face paper and liner paper are used, the performance of the corrugated cardboard formed by the difference in corrugation shape also varies to some extent. There are four types of corrugated ribs commonly used internationally, namely A-type ribs, C-type ribs, B-type ribs, and E-type ribs. Their technical specifications and requirements are shown in Table 1. The corrugated cardboard made of A-type corrugated board has good cushioning and a certain degree of elasticity, followed by C-type corrugated board. But its stiffness and impact resistance are better than A-type ribs; B-type corrugated cardboard has a high density of arrangement, resulting in a flat surface and high load-bearing capacity, making it suitable for printing; The E-shaped ribs, due to their thinness and density, further demonstrate their rigidity and strength.
