Product Usage
The MEDW-8705 grounding impedance tester is a specialized instrument used to measure the grounding resistance of the grounding network and the grounding conductivity between the grounding points. The instrument adopts frequency conversion anti-interference technology, which does not require high current measurement and can accurately measure 50Hz data in strong interference environments of substations. The measurement results are displayed on a large LCD screen and come with a built-in micro printer for printing and output. The instrument can simultaneously measure grounding impedance, grounding resistance, step voltage, etc., which can more accurately reflect the actual characteristics of the grounding grid.
The MOEN-8705 grounding impedance tester adopts a new type of variable frequency AC power supply and measures such as microcomputer processing control and signal processing, which better solves the anti-interference problem during the testing process, simplifies the testing operation process, improves the accuracy and precision of the testing results, and greatly reduces the labor intensity and testing cost of the testing personnel.
According to the requirements of the "Guidelines for Measuring Characteristic Parameters of Grounding Devices" DL/T475-2006, in order to reduce the impact of power frequency current interference on the grounding grid, when measuring with power frequency current, the test current should reach 50A or more. Such high current power supplies and cables are very bulky, causing greater variability in the test. The advantage of frequency conversion measurement is that it utilizes the ability of frequency conversion technology to suppress power frequency interference, and can achieve or exceed the anti-interference effect of high power frequency current with a small test current. Therefore, the guidelines stipulate that testing current using frequency conversion can reduce it to 3A. By using a frequency selective voltmeter and our produced grounding resistance meter, all the testing requirements specified in the guidelines can be met. The instrument is very lightweight and can greatly reduce the workload of on-site measurements.
The key to achieving anti-interference measurement with instruments is to suppress interference signals. The frequency selective voltmeter adopts high-precision adaptive digital notch technology, which can automatically track and suppress interference frequencies. The theoretical suppression ability of this algorithm is close to one millionth. Compared with the suppression ability of some imported frequency selective voltmeters, which is only a few hundredths, frequency selective voltmeters can basically ignore the presence of interference.

1. The measured power frequency equivalence is good. The test current waveform is a sine wave, with a frequency difference of only 0.25Hz less than the power frequency and 5Hz greater than it. Can be used for measurement at two frequencies of 50Hz or 60Hz.
