Unloading principle

The liquid LNG transported by LNG tanker first goes through a unloading process, which mainly refers to the process of transferring the LNG transported by the tanker to the LNG storage tank. There are generally three ways to unload LNG: unloading with a booster, unloading with a submersible low-temperature pump, and unloading with a combination of a booster and a pump. This project uses the form of unloading with a booster. Firstly, a portion of the LNG in the tanker is gasified using an unloading booster, and the gasified natural gas is sent into the tanker to increase the gas phase pressure, creating a certain pressure difference between the tanker and the LNG storage tank. The LNG in the tanker is unloaded into the storage tank system under the pressure difference.
