★ Classification of Integrated Thermocouples/Thermistors
Integrated thermocouple/thermistor is an addition of temperature transmission function or additional on-site display function on the basis of thermocouple/thermistor. It involves installing a temperature transmitter module in the junction box of the original thermocouple/thermistor and installing a display head using the on-site display junction box. There are six practical applications:

★ Difference between Thermocouples and Thermistors:
A thermocouple is a temperature sensor, similar to a thermal resistor, but it differs from a thermal resistor mainly in that:
1. The nature of the signal is that the thermistor itself is a resistor, and changes in temperature result in positive or negative resistance changes due to the resistor; Thermocouples, on the other hand, generate changes in induced voltage that vary with temperature.
2. The temperature range detected by the two sensors is different. The thermal resistance generally detects a temperature range of 0-150 degrees, and the highest measurement range can reach about 600 degrees (of course, negative temperature can be detected).
3. From a material perspective, thermal resistance is a type of metal material that is sensitive to temperature changes. Thermocouples are bimetallic materials, where two different metals generate a potential difference at the ends of two different metal wires due to temperature changes.
4. Thermocouples come in models such as J, T, N, K, S, etc. Some are more expensive than resistors, while others are cheaper. However, when compensation wires are included, the overall cost of thermocouples is higher.
5. Thermistors are resistance signals, while thermocouples are voltage signals.
6. The principle of thermal resistance temperature measurement is based on the property of the resistance of a conductor (or semiconductor) changing with temperature. The measurement range is negative 200-500 degrees, and platinum resistors (Pt100, Pt10) are commonly used.
★ Precautions for use:
The power supply of the temperature transmitter should not have spikes, and the calibration of the transmitter should be carried out 5 minutes after power on, and attention should be paid to the ambient temperature at that time. Do not open the cover of the digital transmitter at will to avoid moisture. The shell should be firmly grounded, and power and signal output should be transmitted using shielded cables. The crimping nut should be tightened to ensure airtightness. Be sure to use a wrench or other tool to tighten the nut during installation, and do not directly twist the meter head by hand to prevent breaking the internal circuit. To adjust the display direction, first loosen the "header fixing screws" on both sides, gently rotate them to the appropriate position (not exceeding 270 ℃), and then tighten the screws.

SBW Integrated Temperature Transmitter (Fixed Thread) Product Structure------------------------◆◆

1. A temperature transmitter with a thermocouple (resistor) consists of a thermocouple or thermistor and transmitter components.
2. Thermocouples include thermocouple components, protective tubes, junction boxes, and other main parts, with the junction boxes and protective tubes being the same for both.
3. The thermocouple element is composed of armored thermocouples; Thermal resistance elements are composed of armored platinum resistors.
4. Protective tube: It is required to be resistant to high temperature, wear and corrosion, able to withstand rapid temperature changes, have good air tightness and sufficient mechanical strength. Two different grades of stainless steel tubes are currently used to make it.
5. The junction box is made of aluminum alloy and is waterproof with a protection level of IP54.
6. Transmitter components: consisting of a housing, cover plate, circuit board terminal, etc., sealed inside the housing using silicone rubber casting method and electronic components, therefore cannot be disassembled.
