2、 Product Introduction
The SpectroDirect multi parameter spectrophotometer adopts modern technology and has a good cost performance ratio, designed specifically for comprehensive water quality analysis. Large chart display screen, preset multiple parameter method curves, covering various analysis parameter methods for water and wastewater, can be tested using Lovibond tablets, water agents, prefabricated test tubes, and powders (VARIO powders).
(1) Optical Design
SpectroDirect adopts a single beam design, and the light source is a halogen lamp with flash function. During the entire testing process, the light source was intermittently lit, so the entire equipment does not require preheating and stabilization, and can be tested upon startup. After the light beam enters the monochromator through the light slot, it produces different specific wavelengths. Lovibond uses holographic transparent gratings and movable mirrors to ensure that the light beam accurately enters the sample chamber and passes through the water sample. The results are then collected and analyzed by a microprocessor, and the concentration values are displayed on a backlit screen.
(2) Multi functional sample room
Circular colorimetric bottles with diameters of 16mm and 24mm, and rectangular colorimetric dishes with optical paths of 10-50mm can be directly placed in the sample chamber. Only a small bracket is required during the placement of the 10mm optical path rectangular colorimetric dish, and no adapter is needed.

(5) Self inspection
After booting up, SpectroDirect automatically performs a self-test. The first step is to perform function checks on the motor and halogen lamp, followed by optical testing. The instrument has a built-in neodymium praseodymium glass filter to achieve this function, which can check the correct wavelength setting. If the wavelength is incorrect, the optical system will be adjusted during the self-test process.
(6) Maintenance
Based on the advanced design of SpectroDirect, maintenance work only involves replacing the light source. The light source is located in an easily observable and replaceable position of the photometer, which can be quickly and simply replaced without any tools.
(7) Power supply
The input voltage of the SpectroDirect photometer is 12V, and it can be used with a standard battery or a charger.
(8) Language selection
The SpectroDirect photometer offers multiple language options, including German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. If Lovibond has a new language operating system that can be updated, users can directly complete the update work online.
(9) N.I.S.T traceability function
The SpectroDirect photometer can be tested using a secondary standard filter set or in user standard mode, with N I. S.T traceability function.

Behind the SpectroDirect photometer, there are RS232 and serial interfaces for connecting printers and computers.

The upper limit can store 1000 sets of data, including measurement data for standard programs and user-defined programs. The data set includes dates, times, methods, etc.

(15) Zero point calibration and testing
1. Users can choose measurement methods through different methods, such as entering numerical codes or selecting in alphabetical order. In addition, function keys can be used to display specific information about the required reagents, including reagent type, measurement range, etc.
2. Press the 'clock key' to display the date and time. The SpectroDirect photometer can automatically recognize and select the correct wavelength.
3. Place the water sample and perform zero calibration using the ZERO key.
4. When the user adds the water sample according to the instructions, the reaction starts. Press the 'Test' button to start the test (the results can be displayed immediately or automatically after the reaction is completed).
(16) Countdown function
For certain specific methods, users need to wait for the color reaction time after adding the water sample. The remaining reaction time can be observed on the display screen, with a ten second countdown alarm, and then automatically measured and displayed according to the preset method. The countdown function can be turned off for measuring batch samples.
(17) Differentiated testing results
SpectroDirect allows for different testing methods. For example, when measuring chlorine concentration, different methods can be used to measure residual chlorine, bound chlorine, and total chlorine.

The wavelength range is between 330 and 900nm, and wavelength scanning can be performed at user-defined time intervals. A curve graph that can display the spectrum. After the user presses the button, the display screen can show the upper and lower limits of absorbance.
(20) Absorption/transmission
With this feature, users can freely test, for example, using user-defined wavelengths for standard testing of different concentrations to obtain the desired polynomial data set, and the result output can be selected in ABS and%.
(21) Polynomial Function
With the help of external mathematical models, corresponding polynomials can be established through data sets (concentration/absorbance), or known polynomials can be used. The upper limit can reach 25 order polynomials, such as y=A+BX+CX2+DX3+EX4+FX5, which can be determined according to specific customer needs such as wavelength, measurement range, units, and decimal places, and can be stored and called.
(22) Concentration calculation
This function can be used to measure 2 to 14 known standards. Based on the functional relationship between concentration and absorbance, the photometer can calculate interpolation at each measurement point. Up to 10 methods can be stored for further sample measurement.
