Energy saving principle of frequency conversion
To maintain the pressure of the liquid supply network constant, a pressure transmitter is installed as a feedback element in the management of the pipeline system according to the feedback theorem. Due to the long and large diameter of the water supply system pipeline, the filling of the pipeline network is slow. Therefore, the system is a large lag system and it is not easy to directly use PID regulators for control. Instead, PLC is used to participate in the control to achieve the regulating effect of the control system
Principle of Variable Frequency Control
Using variable frequency speed regulation to achieve constant pressure liquid supply has a significant energy-saving effect compared to using regulating valves to achieve constant pressure liquid supply (which can be calculated according to specific situations). Its advantages are:
1. Starting balance, the starting current can be limited within the rated current, thus avoiding the impact on the power grid during starting;
2. Due to the decrease in the average speed of the pump, the service life of the pump and valves can be extended;
3. Can eliminate the hydraulic hammer effect during start-up and shutdown;
Generally speaking, when a frequency converter controls an electric motor, it is only necessary to match the capacity of the motor equipped with the frequency converter with the actual motor capacity. When a frequency converter controls two motors simultaneously, the capacity of the motor equipped with the frequency converter should be equal to the sum of the capacities of the two motors. But if the liquid output during peak load is much different from the full speed liquid supply of two water pumps, it is possible to consider reducing the capacity of the frequency converter appropriately, but sufficient capacity should be reserved.
Although the liquid pump operates at low speeds, the working current of the electric motor is relatively small. However, when the flow rate of the pump changes frequently, the motor will be in a state of frequent acceleration and deceleration, and the current for acceleration and deceleration may slightly exceed the rated current of the motor, causing overheating of the motor. Therefore, thermal protection for electric motors is necessary. For the temperature rise accumulated due to frequent speed increase and decrease, the electronic thermal protection function inside the inverter is difficult to protect, so a thermal relay should be used for motor thermal protection.
In terms of preset main functions, the maximum frequency should be based on the rated frequency of the motor as the maximum operating frequency of the frequency converter. When using a PID controller, the acceleration and deceleration times should be set as short as possible to avoid affecting the dynamic response process determined by the PID controller. If the frequency converter itself has PID regulation function, as long as the PID function is set to be effective during the preset, the set acceleration and deceleration time will automatically become invalid.

In case of a malfunction in the self-control system, users can directly operate the manual system to protect the water supply.
Application of fans
Traditional flow design is based on the maximum air volume requirement, and its adjustment methods are controlled by baffles, air doors, reflux, start stop, etc., which cannot form a closed-loop control and do not consider energy-saving factors. The electrical control adopts direct or step-down starting, which has a significant impact on the mechanical and electrical control components of the equipment, resulting in a short lifespan of the transmission system, high vibration and noise, a large required power supply (grid) capacity, and low power factor, which are the main problems. Using a frequency converter to retrofit equipment has great advantages.
