Particles captured by the upper respiratory tract of humans in levels 1 and 2, and particles captured by the lower respiratory tract of humans in levels 3-6. This largely replicates the penetration and deposition of these particles in the respiratory tract. Therefore, the particle size range it collects is naturally wider than that of single-stage impact samplers.
