The solid particles suspended in the slurry in the concentrator settle under the action of gravity, and the upper part becomes clarified water, allowing solid-liquid separation. The sediment deposited at the bottom of the concentration tank is continuously scraped and collected by a rake scraper to the central discharge outlet at the bottom of the tank, while the clarified water overflows from the upper edge of the concentration tank. A deep cone concentrator, also known as a paste concentrator, not only has the characteristics of an efficient concentrator, but also a deep cone with a much higher height than other thickeners.
