  • 3 MB or 12 MB onboard memory
  • External and programmable internal clock frequencies ranging from 5 Hz to 50 MHz
  • The dynamic control sequencer supports UUT synchronized branches, loops, subroutines, and advanced functions
  • Multiple I/O options including TTL, PECL, LVDS, and programmable voltage levels

overview

GX5050 is a high-speed dynamic digital I/O card that provides all the functions required for IO products in high-performance testing systems. This card has the same structure as GC5050, but GX5050 is a PXI card (6U) and GC5050 is a PCI card, both of which can run independently of the host in RUN mode.

application

  • Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)
  • High speed functional digital testing
  • Vector acquisition
  • Hybrid and digital device testing
  • Memory testing
  • Event sequencer, logical pattern capture

characteristic

The GX5050 provides real-time digital excitation and acquisition, with 32 pins per board. Up to 512 pins can be connected in a daisy chain to connect 16 cards in the instrument. Each card's 32 pins can be grouped into 8 and divided into 4 groups for input and output direction configuration. A sequencer, external source, or a combination of both can be used to change the direction of the pin group. At the same time, the system comes with a 16 bit external bus for triggering and synchronizing external time.

The clock and gate signals are distributed to each card through daisy chain ribbon cables, and these signals can be generated internally or externally. The external control signal allows for complete synchronization with the unit under test (UUT) and minimizes the initialization part of the test.

Algorithm sequencer technology (AST) ™)

Innovative and state-of-the-art algorithm sequencers allow users to create loops and branches to manipulate output vectors. All sequencer commands can be adjusted using an external event bus and can be used with Windows ® API commands or scripting languages are programmed using a graphic vector editor. This enables GX5050 to generate test vectors indefinitely at maximum testing rate. There are multiple modes for triggering and pausing commands both internally and externally.

Onboard memory

The onboard memory can be configured as 3 MB or 12 MB, and users can upgrade it. Provide separate storage for outputting data, responding to data, and sorting commands for testing steps. The separate memory used to respond to data allows applications to read activities on the UUT pin independently of bidirectional mode. This is an important feature that is missing in most high-speed digital I/O instruments.

compatibility

The GX5050 can operate in any 6U PXI slot, providing 3.3V and 5V power supplies, and is compatible with Marvin test solutions GT50 and GT25 test vectors. In addition, unique firmware upgrades can be performed on the system programming front panel.

I/O module

GX5050 offers a variety of I/O modules, with input and output levels that meet the requirements of any digital testing application, including TTL, PECL,ECL, Programmable voltage levels, LVDS, and custom modules. Due to the variety of types, it is necessary to specify the I/O module type and memory size when ordering GX5050.

I/O module thoroughfare level
TTL 32 5V and 3V logic
PECL 32 Positive ECL
LVDS 32 LVDS
Programmable voltage level 32 0.3-0.9V

configuration

GX5050 can be set as a master or slave. The host provides a time signal and can only support up to 15 slaves.

software

This board provides GTDIO/DIOEasy, a software package that includes vector editing, virtual instrument panel, and 32/64 bit DLL driver library and documentation. The virtual panel can be used to interactively program and control instruments from a window that displays the current settings and status of the instrument. In addition, interface files are provided to support access to programming tools and languages such as ATEasy, LabView,C / C ++,Microsoft VisualBasic ®, Delphi and Pascal. The online help file and PDF user guide provide instructions for installing, using, and programming the board.
