This equipment complies with the GB/T15459-1995 method for determining the crushing strength of coal. A coal block with a particle size of 60mm to 100mm is freely dropped from a height of 2m onto a steel plate of the specified thickness. Then, the coal block with a particle size greater than 25mm is dropped again for a total of three times. The crushing strength of the coal is expressed by the mass percentage of the crushed coal block with a particle size greater than 25mm to the original coal sample.

Then, the coal blocks with a particle size greater than 13mm in the fallen coal will be dropped again three times. The drop strength of the coal block will be expressed as the percentage of the mass of the coal blocks with a particle size greater than 13mm after the third drop to the mass of the prototype coal sample.
