The CNR4 net radiometer measures the energy balance between incident short wavelength far-infrared (FIR) radiation and surface reflected short wave and escaping long wave radiation. The CNR4 net radiometer consists of a pair of total solar radiation meters, placed facing up and down respectively; There is also a pair of longwave radiation meters with the same configuration settings. The total solar radiation meter measures shortwave radiation, while the longwave radiation meter measures longwave radiation. The long wave detector on the upper part of CNR4 has a curved lunar dome, ensuring that water droplets can easily roll down, expanding the viewing angle range to nearly 180 °, while the viewing angle of a typical flat window can only reach 150 °. All four sensors are not installed as separate modules on the housing, but are directly integrated into the instrument body, but have been calibrated separately to ensure excellence.
The two integrated temperature sensors arePt-100 and thermistor for compatibility with various data recorders. The temperature sensor provides relevant temperature information to calibrate the infrared reading of the instrument casing temperature. We have paid attention to placing the long wave sensors together and placing them all near the temperature sensor. This ensures that the temperature of the measurement surface is the same and accurately known, thereby improving the quality of long wave measurement.
This net radiometer is very lightweight and also integrates a sunshade to reduce the impact of heat on short wavelength measurements. All of our new radiometer products come with yellow cables with waterproof connectors. You can also remove the screws on the mounting rod for convenient transportation.
It also has an optional option with a heaterThe CNF4 ventilation device is designed to serve as an extended function for sunshades. You can install a new version in CNR4, or you can also modify the ventilation device in the future. Due to its compact design, the air above the dome and windows can circulate quickly and effectively, greatly reducing the formation of dew and the frequency of cleaning. To melt frost, an integrated heater can be used for heating.
The specifications of CNR4 meet the classification requirements of WMO's excellent standards.
