1、 Overview
The CDX-III magnetic particle flaw detector is a new type of magnetic particle flaw detection equipment designed and produced by our company by absorbing the advantages of similar products at home and abroad. By using an external magnetic field magnetization method, the instrument has the advantages of small size and light weight. Highly integrated circuits enable a device to have all the functions of the original devices, and this instrument can be equipped with four types of probes: A, D, E, and O.
FFunction selection:
►A-type probe: also known as horseshoe magnetic yoke probe or fillet weld probe, with movable joint inclined magnetic head and equipped with work light; It is particularly suitable for detecting irregular surfaces and complex shaped workpieces Polar distance: 20-160mm; Boosting power: AC ≥ 4.5 kg, DC ≥ 18 kg; Weight: 1.8kg. A device called a horseshoe shaped magnetic yoke flaw detector or a fillet weld flaw detector is made using this probe, and the probe has a wide range of applications using active joints.
►D-type probe: also known as electromagnetic yoke probe, with multiple movable joints and high magnetization. Pole distance: 60-220mm, lifting force: AC ≥ 5kg, DC ≥ 18kg; Weight: 2.5 kg The equipment made independently using this probe is called an electromagnetic yoke flaw detector, which has the characteristics of high magnetic permeability and high magnetization strength.
►E-type probe: also known as cross magnetic yoke probe or rotating magnetic field probe, can perform comprehensive composite magnetization testing in one go. The walking roller and work light can improve the testing speed Pole distance: 110mm, lifting force: AC ≥ 12kg, weight: 3.0kg Independently using this probe to make a device called a rotating magnetic field flaw detector, it uses two crossed magnetic yokes and AC phase-shifting technology to generate a composite rotating magnetic field that changes over time, and magnetizes the workpiece in all directions in one go. Fast detection speed and high detection quality.
►O-type probe: also known as annular probe, inner diameter: 150mm, central magnetic field ≥ 180Oe Weight: 2.5 kg Independently using this probe to make a device called a circular flaw detector, it is designed based on the principle of generating a strong magnetic field when the coil is energized, and is suitable for segmented flaw detection or demagnetization of complex workpieces such as shafts, pipes, and blades.

3、 Operation and Maintenance
Before using this instrument, please read this manual carefully to understand and master the structure and technical performance of the instrument. Check whether the power supply meets the requirements of this instrument, whether the connection is correct, and only after it is correct can the power be turned on. Before initial use or long-term storage and reuse, the instrument should be checked for integrity.
1. Operation steps
(1) Connect the power plug wire to the instrument power socket, and connect the probe and output socket.
(2) Turn on the power switch of the instrument, and the power indicator light will turn on. The instrument control circuit will also be turned on, and the servo will work.
(3) Make good contact between the probe and the inspected workpiece, press the switch on the probe, and the instrument will magnetize the workpiece, and the work light will turn on. Release the switch to cut off the main circuit power and stop magnetizing the workpiece.
(4) When stopping use, turn off the power of the instrument and cut off the power supply.
2. Troubleshooting
(1) Power on without indication, not working, fuse blown, caused by short circuit or overload.
(2) Pressing the switch causes the probe to work, but there is no working indicator due to damage to the working indicator light.
(3) The work indicator light is on, the probe is not magnetized, and there is a fault in the main circuit or control circuit.
(4) Connect the power and magnetize without pressing the magnetizing switch, causing damage to the control circuit or bidirectional thyristor.
4、 Precautions
(1) The working cycle of this instrument: It is recommended to:
Magnetization time ≤ 3 seconds, intermittent time ≥ 5 seconds.
(2) Before use, check whether the power supply voltage meets the requirements of the instrument. If it is too high or too low, it will damage the instrument or affect the detection effect.
(3) When in use, the probe end face should maintain good contact with the inspected workpiece, and then press the magnetization switch, at which point the magnetization effect is optimal.
(4) Although this instrument has a good no-load overcurrent protection circuit, it should be avoided as much as possible during use to reduce unnecessary temperature rise.
(5) This instrument can work continuously. If severe heating is found in some parts, stop using it and wait for the cause to be identified before using it again.
(6) Instruments and accessories should be used or stored in a clean, dry, and non corrosive environment.
(7) When repairing on your own, please be aware of the high voltage danger inside the machine.
(8) When pressing the magnetization switch, do not turn on or off the power supply.
(9) The instrument casing must be reliably grounded.
(10) If there is a circuit malfunction that cannot be repaired, please send the instrument back to our factory service center.
