Negative pressure conveying, also known as vacuum conveying, uses a fully enclosed conveying system to transfer bulk materials (powders, particles), which completely eliminates environmental pollution and harm to operators caused by material leakage, as well as knife gate valve pollution to materials in the surrounding screw conveyor environment.
There are various forms of negative pressure sources for vacuum feeding screw conveyors, such as vacuum generators, water ring vacuum pumps, Roots blowers, etc. The advantages of vacuum generators are small size, light weight, easy installation, and can be applied in clean workshops. The cut-off valve of the pneumatic vacuum feeder adopts a jet vacuum pump, and the vacuum generator generates high vacuum under the action of compressed air to transport materials. It does not require a mechanical vacuum pump, and has a simple structure, small volume, maintenance free, low noise, and easy control. It can also eliminate material static electricity, fully complying with GMP requirements.
The stratification of materials during the conveying process of screw conveyors is also a problem that troubles the solid preparation production industry. Due to the differences in particle size and density of materials, the stratification of powder particles occurs.
