The Reference 30k Booster of the Reference 3000 potentiostat is an external hardware option that can increase the current limit of the Reference 3000 by 10 to ± 30 amperes. Booster can only run with Reference 3000 and can use all the features of Reference 3000, including all Gamry software and auxiliary potentiometer (AE) options. Booster can replace the current wires (auxiliary and working) of Reference 3000, while the voltage sensing wires (including AE's voltage sensing wires) of Reference 3000 still maintain their original function.

The Reference 3000, which combines the Reference 30k Booster and PWR800 electrochemical energy software, is an ideal system for evaluating new technologies related to batteries, fuel cells, and next-generation supercapacitors. The regulation of Ref 30k allows for complete discharge (to zero volts) and precise measurement of impedance values below 100 μ Ω.
